Welcome to Old Oak Sourdough! I’m Kristyn, your baker! I am so happy to have the opportunity to bake for you and your family! I offer a custom menu each week so I can highlight my different loaves so that you can have the opportunity to try them all!
I believe in getting back to the true method of making bread- organic grains, wholesome organic ingredients, natural wild yeast and long fermentation. What is unique about my sourdough approach is that by focusing on quality grains (house-milled fresh the day I bake) and 24+ hour fermentation, the nutritional availability of the bread is preserved, and the long fermentation allows for optimal digestibility.
We are a gluten•free family out of health necessity, however when I discovered the proper sourdough process and how the fermentation changes the gluten content, I realized this was what was missing. Sourdough truly reimagined wheat for our household. Since my love for sourdough was born out of serving my own family, it is with this same care that I bake for you. Sourdough has my heart!

These loaves all have a foundation of my classic sourdough loaf with additions of ancient grains and other flavor additions. Each loaf is just under 2 lbs.
Organic. Fresh house-milled grain to flour. Light + airy with a golden crust. Perfect for sandwiches, enjoy sliced with butter, elevate your weekend french toast.
Organic. The fragrant rosemary, textured sea salt flakes, & golden olive oil with the depth of flavor from the sourdough process is perfection! Excellent for sandwiches, paired with a savory breakfast or dipping with oil and vinegar.
*special toppings are also featured each month like green olive & garlic etc. so be sure to check out those delicious options.
Organic. Not much to say about this classic flavor except that it’s better than the bagel! The medley of white + black sesame seeds, onion, sea salt, and garlic makes an outstanding loaf. Pair with cream cheese and salmon for a gourmet take on your morning toast, or add some jam on top of your cream cheese for a sweet & savory experience!
Organic. Spelt is an ancient grain that has heirloom qualities offering higher amounts of nutrition. It is also a lower gluten-content grain which eases digestibility if you are sensitive. I mill my spelt grain into flour in-house. It gives a nutty + rich flavor and is a hearty loaf.
Organic pumpkin purée + warm fall spices like nutmeg & cinnamon make this a perfectly savory sourdough loaf! Keep an eye out for this loaf from September - November!
These loaves introduce notes of sweetness with raw local honey, maple syrup & organic cane sugar. Their foundation is a proper sourdough loaf that balances a mild savor with hints of sweet. Each Loaf is just under 2lbs.
Have a cookie, actually have 2! But make it with organic + fair trade ingredients, with fresh milled flour + ancient grains & ferment it for 48 hours! This gives you a cookie that is nutrient dense & has optimal digestibility! The base is organic coconut oil making it *egg + dairy free! *Contains Almond butter
*Organic. This is a delightfully light loaf cake that is fully long-fermented sourdough. The tang of sourdough, Greek yogurt and lemon zest work so well together to you a bright and delicious cake. It is incredibly moist, lightly sweet, has some protein to balance things out. It’s perfect for breakfast, served with afternoon tea or dessert! 100% Organic ingredients. **Contains Dairy & Egg**
*Organic. Raw local honey. Rolled oats that are honey soaked and layered within the loaf. An amazing alternative to your morning oatmeal. Add your favorite jam or drizzle with extra honey for a sweet start to your day.
*Organic. This loaf is lightly sweetened with layers of organic brown sugar that caramelizes throughout the dough. Warmth of cinnamon and nutmeg adds to the beautiful flavor and aroma. This loaf is the sweetest of all my offerings! *Contains Coconut Oil
*Organic +Fairtrade + Cacao and semi-sweet chocolate chips give a lightly sweet chocolate experience. Try topping it with butter + sea salt flakes (my fave!), fresh fruit or jams. **This loaf only is available a few times a year!
